Greenwich Stars Win 2 National Basketball Championships

The Greenwich Stars won 2 National Basketball Championships in the just completed 2018 Zero Gravity National Finals Tournament in Boston, Massachusetts.

The Greenwich Stars 10U Boys Blue basketball team led by Senior Coach Henry Ferrarin beat the East Side Escalades (NY) 40-31 in the National Championship Game and the Stars 13U Boys Blue team helmed by Senior Coach Alex Peeler won the Finals over the Blue Wave (NY) 47-32. Both Greenwich Stars teams went undefeated in the “Nationals.” 10U Blue finished with a Spring record of 26-2 and 13U Blue had a Spring record of 23-2. Each team won 4 Spring tournaments.

(5) Greenwich Stars Spring basketball teams competed in the National Championships in Boston (June 8-10, 2018). This tournament is the biggest youth basketball event of the year and features over 1000 teams from over 20 states and Canada. For the 2nd consecutive year, all the Greenwich Stars basketball teams that played in the “Nationals” made it to the Championship round (playoffs) and the teams had an amazing combined record of 24 wins and only 3 losses in the Nationals. The Greenwich Stars have now won 3 National Championships and made it to the National Finals Championship Game 9 times.

The Greenwich Stars had an unforgettable 2018 National Championships. Winning 2 National Titles is a remarkable achievement. All our boys teams played great basketball with a passion and desire that was quite amazing. We had a sensational Nationals tournament due to the support of our incredible players, families and outstanding senior head coaches: Henry Ferrarin (10U Blue and 11U Blue, Alex Peeler (13U Blue and 14U Blue) and Jean Lorius (12U Blue).

The Greenwich Stars are the largest and must successful youth basketball organization in the regions. The Stars have players from 38 towns in New York and Connecticut. Professional Coaches. No Parent Coaches. No Politics.
